God Hears You

God hears you. He is with us constantly. Yet somehow when we talk with Him we can get the sense that He doesn't hear us. Most of this is because we don't see Him nodding back at us saying, "Oh yea, sure I hear you. I'm on it."

Have you ever had the sense that you didn't ask the right thing? or ask the right way? or use the right scripture? This may be because you didn't get a typical acknowledgement.

Most of the time when we make our requests we know God's Word concerning our situation or we can quickly look it up. Then we make our prayer but never get the instant satisfaction of acknowledgement. At least not in the ways we are accustom to be acknowledged.

Our Father hears us.

With a friend we get the reassuring, "Ok" or "I heard that" or "I'm with you." It's kind of annoying if they don't let you know they heard you. With the Lord we merely have his Word.

Merely? Ha! Well His Word is better than a hearty, "You betcha!" So let's think like Jesus thinks and recognize that His Word is more sure than a "you betcha!"

God's Word is His acknowledgement! Can you hear Him? :-)


God's Will
If anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.

Your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!
- Matthew 6:8 NLT

Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act.
- Psalm 37:7 NLT

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
- Romans 8:28 NLT

God's Word is His acknowledgement!

Take Action!

When you talk to God do you know He heard you or wonder if He heard you? 
Either way, our Father heard you.
Trust Him. Be still and know that He is God.

Happiness vs. Joy

There may be a few ways to look at happiness vs. joy and maybe this will add value to their distinctions. Happiness is generally determined by what is happening to us or even an accumulation of good or bad events or circumstances. Joy is completely different. It is determined by what we choose. When you ask someone if they are happy, the happy person says something like, "I feel good, things are going well, there haven't been any emergencies, my relationships are going well." The unhappy person says, "I haven't felt good, things are not going great, I've had a few emergencies and relationships have been tough." These are all external influences. Joy, for the Christian, is internal. It is a fruit of the Spirit and the Holy Spirit, in a Christian, is always producing this fruit. It's our job to get in on it. Armor of God | Watchful Perseverance

The armor of God has been a topic that has been difficult to get our minds wrapped around. What it is and how we put it on, has seemed to be a bit mysterious.
