Are You Lost in Obedience?

Everything we are looking for in our relationship with the Lord is found on the other side of a renewed mind. A renewed mind ushers us to walk in obedience. The result is an amazing relationship with the Lord.

Everything we want in a relationship with the Lord is on the other side of a renewed mind.

Bearing fruit, understanding the scriptures or walking in the Spirit, these things come only after we have been renewed in the mind and take action.

A renewed mind is a mind that thinks like Jesus thinks. It draws us to obedience. This is where we bear fruit and grow in a close and intimate relationship with the Lord. There isn't another way to grow.

Can we enter an extreme phase of obedience? Possibly. How is your thinking? Do you understand you are going to live forever? If that's so, then how does that change how you think?

For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. - 1 Peter 1:23 NLT

Start Slow, Build Momentum

Let's immerse ourselves in obedience. Let's look forward to all the wonderful feelings of joy and celebration that is on the other side of obedience.

As we do this, please remember that we want to go from faith to faith. We want to grow in our obedience. So be sure to not take on too much. Act on what is in front of you. Develop consistency on those things and then build momentum to continue that deep dive into obedience.

Let your love for the Lord drown out your fear.

But those who obey God's word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. - 1 John 2:5 NLT

Take Action!

How is my mind renewed?
It's actually a wonderful process. Start with a read of, "How Do I Serve God?"
Faith in our Lord grows when we respond to His commands. Keep it simple but also keep it consistent. Start with something small.
  1. Start a prayer list with one prayer on it.
  2. Add a supporting scripture to it.
  3. Give the Lord that prayer everyday for one weeks. (takes about 20 seconds - You can do this!)
  4. After one week add two prayers with supporting scriptures to your list.
  5. Give the Lord those prayers everyday for two weeks.
After that, add to your prayer list as prayers come to you. Consistency is the backbone of obedience and will contribute much to your walk with the Lord.

Please, add your thoughts and questions in the comment section.
